LAST DAY OF REGISTRATION: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH 2017

Oasis – A Haven for Women and Children is a non-profit organization that serves needy women and children in the greater Paterson, New Jersey community. Our mission is to change the lives of women and children by breaking the cycle of poverty through compassionate programs designed to feed, clothe, educate and empower women and children in need.  Your participation in the Sporting Clays Classic will directly support our work to help women and children rise out of poverty.

Oasis serves 600 women and children each day through adult education classes (English-as-a-second-language, high school equivalency, computers, workplace readiness), youth development programs (Michael Wagner After-School Program, Teen Empowerment and Enrichment Network, Carl’s Kids Summer Camp, Paterson Youth Photography Program and other dance/arts programming), and basic needs services (soup kitchen for weekday breakfast and lunch, food pantry, clothing room, baby needs).  Additionally, Oasis employs multiple social workers and social service interns to assist women and children struggling with domestic violence, food insecurity, addiction, mental/physical health, and other personal issues.

About Hudson Farm Club

Hudson Farm Club is a private membership facility situated on 3800 beautifully landscaped and wooded acres in pastoral Sussex County, NJ. We are one hour from Manhattan and easily accessible from all points via Rt. 80. Our estate house and manicured grounds provide an atmosphere rich in history and tradition. We are home to the shooting school and pro shop of the prestigious Griffin & Howe gun company, maker of fine American firearms since 1923.

Sporting Clays, often referred to as “golf with a shotgun” is a safe, exciting, and rapidly-growing sport. Teams of four will traverse 20 scenic stations, each presenting the challenge of breaking a moving clay target with varying speed, distance, and direction. Beginners and those who are “a little rusty” will enjoy personalized attention in small groups from our highly-qualified instructors.
